Zoisite
Zoisite is similar to epidote as their structure contain calcium and aluminium silicate. The deposits are in Tanzania, where zoisite forms ruby zoisite. However, not all varieties include ruby – the varieties without ruby sell for a lower price.
Zoisite uniqueness: You can recognise zoisite for its striking green colour influenced by a small admixture of chromium oxide.
Special conditions/ treatment: We do not recommend using chemical detergents to clean zoisite.
